Bennett-Curtis House I 05-09-2009 : The Bennet-Curtis House is a 1900 turn-of-the-century mansion. Located at 302 West Taylor Street, Grant Park, Illinois, only 15 minutes from the Kankakee area. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens, majestic maple trees, and bubbling fountains. The Bennet-Curtis House is celebrating its seventh year in business. Located downstairs is "A Bride's Dream Come True Bridal Shop," featuring everything you need to plan your wedding or event. Even "Dream Come True" travel agency, tuxedos, invitations, "Dreams in Ice" ice sculptures, and much more. The new addition to the garden room has added a 400 square foot dance floor and features a 100 year old bar. Step out of the garden room to the deck to overlook the beautiful gardens, truly a sight to see! The owners are Scott and Kerry Zizic, whom live on the premise with their 4 children. Scott is an accomplished chef. He has been in the business for over 20 years, specializing in creating a unique and memorable event, from the food presentation to the decorations.
